You call THIS spring?

Okay – it’s my own fault.  I’m the one that ‘called spring‘ – three times already, in fact.   Now it’s pay-back time!   Nature always gets the last laugh in the great white north.

Here’s what I woke up to this morning…

Here’s what it looked like as I set out on my morning commute…

For a change the roads were ploughed in the city!  I even saw them ploughing and sanding!

I saw a dude on a bicycle on the freeway – desperately wanted to take a picture – but that would have been very naughty (and unsafe!)  Lot’s of dead, smashed up and stranded cars along the way.

My usual 35 minute commute took just over 70 minutes – but I finally arrived at work – safe and sound.

The snow is still falling – coming down in huge wet flakes.  All around town, people are turning into Smurf’s as they shovel walks, steps  and driveways – here’s my friend Selma doing her best Smurf impersonation.

Here’s a comparison to what things looked like at home last week – let’s hope Easter brings sunny weather and snowmelt!  (Hey – do you suppose this extra snow might cause some ice jams when it melts? Hope not!)

Hmmm – guess I can postpone taking down those Christmas lights…  Happy Easter everyone!
