Weekly Photo Challenge: Illumination


The topic for this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is “illumination” and I have to admit – it’s not lights that come to mind when I think of illumination – it’s the sun and the beautiful ways it illuminates our lives.  Here below are a couple of my favourite ‘illumination’ photos, taken during our cruise to Hawaii…

I took this one evening early in the cruise; I loved the way the golden sun illuminated the clouds and ocean:

I took this one early in the morning, just as we were approaching the islands.  It reminded me of the line in the song ‘Tiny Bubbles’ (which we sang a lot in our ukulele class on the ship): “…and here’s to the silvery sea…”
