Weekly Photo Challenge: Nostalgic

The topic for this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is ‘nostalgic‘ – here below are some nostalgic photos for me…

This one from 1962 shows my Grandpa, Great Grandma, Grandma, Dad, and my brother Doug in the back row, and my brother Greg, sister Jane, and me in the front row.  Yep that’s me – dressed in rubber boots, jeans, and a motorcycle cap.  (All the neighbours thought I was a boy.)

This one from 1965 shows my youngest brother, Fred, and me eagerly awaiting our burgers while Dad slaves over the BBQ in the background.  We lived in Saint John, New Brunswick at the time and it was almost always cold and foggy, but if we got a couple of hours of sun on a Sunday my Dad would fire up the BBQ.  As a result, for years I thought we called it ‘Sunday’ because that was the day the sun came out for a few hours.

This is another one of Fred and me – all cleaned up for church on Easter Sunday, 1965.  Neither of us were too happy with that plan…  we preferred staying home for a BBQ…

Here’s a bit of later nostalgia – circa 1985 – Les and me with our first cat Tristan…  The first in a long line of cats we’d rescue… Wow – we both look a lot younger there!

Hope you enjoyed my little bit of nostalgia!  Have a great week!
