Thanks for visiting my website! Here’s a bit of info about me…
In my former life I was a civil engineering professor – I used to spend most of my time either in front of a classroom talking about rivers, or traipsing around northern Canada studying rivers. However, in 2014, I decided to take early retirement so that I could have time for the fun things in my life including writing, playing music, and spending time with my family. I left the job and the big city (Edmonton, Alberta), and returned to live in a small town in my home province of New Brunswick on Canada’s east coast.
Like most other scientists, I’ve written and published many technical articles and reports; however, I enjoy creative writing much more! I’ve written a novel, “Defining Moments” as well as two little book of humourous short stories. Please click on the covers below to find out more about them.
I also enjoy writing educational books… Here are a few you might like:
I love music and enjoy playing the guitar, ukulele, mandolin, and bodhran. I am also learning to play the fiddle – but I have a feeling that it will be many years before I can actually say that “I play the fiddle”. 🙂

Students in science and engineering might want to check out my blog on technical writing advice.
I went to Duckys tonight for the Uke group. Is it possible to get the music everyone received from you via email?
Hello Faye what is the best way to contact you a phone number?
